In 2014, here is what I WILL accomplish:
Pay Off All Credit Card Debt. Note that this is specifically high-interest debt. I am on track to pay off everything this year, on top of what I’m already paying for my student loans and car loan. As long as I stay focused, this should be attainable around summertime.
Clean Up My Words. I don’t know when it started happening, but I am looser with my words now than I ever was before. I don’t routinely cuss like a sailor, but I am capable of it and I think that it is one of the most unattractive things for a person to be careless with their words. “The tongue is a rudder, it steers the whole ship.” I’m going to increase my awareness about what comes out of my mouth, no matter if it’s with family, friends, or strangers.
Don’t Hesitate to “Just Do It.” No one is ever too old to try new things. Just last week I tried Thai food for the first time, which for some reason I’ve always avoided. It’s delicious. I have always wanted to go to Europe and Australia, but I haven’t because I’ve told myself it’s too expensive and I’ll have to wait. I want to go scuba diving, and I live less than an hour from the coast, but I just haven’t gone. What am I waiting for? I’m going to commit to doing these things on my “someday” list and just make it happen. Anything is really possible. On that note, I also want to take more weekend trips, even if it’s just me and my dog. I am going to buy a tent and just GO places. Why not?
