Mountain Biking & Snatch PR

Image

Tonight was my third time to hit the Cypress Creek MTB trails this week, and I’m having a blast figuring out the system.  I am already much faster on the trails I’m becoming familiar with, and overall I always like “woody” trails.  Much better than the cactus mess in Abilene or rocks in Rocksprings, TX.  No, I’ll take my tree roots and dirt gladly!

Here are a few pictures I’ve taken this week:

Shouldn’t we all keep our bikes in front of the tv? 🙂

Tonight after my ride, I went straight to crossfit to max out on Snatch, which has notoriously been one of my most intimidating lifts.  However, I’ve really worked on my form a lot since I first started out, and I ended up PRing at 80lbs!  This was a full squat snatch.  Of course, JUST like my Squat Cleans, I can power through my snatch at the same weight as I can Squat Snatch it.  Ugh… just getting under the bar!  I must admit… I don’t hate snatching like I used to, though 🙂
