You know, I used to HATE riding alone.
Probably partially because I always felt less motivated, and you lose the benefits of drafting and saving energy in a pace line. However, nowadays I love riding solo. It gives me time to think, and I can do my own kind of workout – long and steady, intervals, whatever. And I think everyone should spend their fair share of time in the wind. Regardless, I know I need to get back on some fast group rides to push myself. Here’s a segment from tonight’s ride on Strava:

About 2/3 of my rides are solo — when the temperature drops below freezing you can believe how hard it is to find someone to ride with you!
Haha we have the opposite problem. Riding in triple digits probably until October!
