I need a change of perspective, and I’ve learned that we gain wisdom through three things: reading, traveling, and suffering.
Seeing as I can only afford so much of the second thing, and the third happens out of my control, I’d like to focus on reading. I’m a natural bookworm, and when I find a good one I tend to finish it in one night.
Please, if you have a great book in mind, fiction or not, I’d love for you to share.
Having a rough day. Thanks.
What kinds of books do you usually like?

Anything from kid-series like Hunger Games, to books about the economy like Currency Wars. I’m pretty open… Looking for something to either learn from or distract me from my own life right now

Becca, a friend turned me onto to Michael Chabon’s “The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier and Clay.” He is Pulitzer Prize-winning author. I am a huge reader and was a bit discouraged that I needed a dictionary by my side when reading this book, but if you have not read it, it might be a fun adventure for you. I am ready to read another of his books.
My favorite books of all time include:
The Secret Life of Bees
The Kite Runner
anything by Anne Lamott
Nancy 🙂

I really loved Dan Simmons two series as an adult: Hyperion series and Ilium/Olympos duology – a entertaining, detailed, and thoughtful mix of Sci-Fi and Classic Literature. Keep your chin up – life is always a dark tunnel – just gotta keep walking towards the light.

Thanks for following my blog, I followed yours as well 🙂 I am somewhat of a bookworm also! I don’t know if you like any Christian Fiction, but Frank Peretti is a great suspense author!
